About the Event
Attention current and former local* elected officials: We want to hear from you to help inform our work moving forward. We want to hear your ideas, challenges, things that you didn't know were going to be part of serving in office before you decided to run or after you were sworn in... whatever you want to share. We're hosting three listening sessions on Zoom in August but we'd also take comments individually and/or via email.
*Local government = county commission, city council, mayor, township board, school board, park board, soil and water district, etc. If you had to file for office to get the gig, and you don't work at the state capitol, this probably applies to you.
Zoom Listening Sessions:
- Wednesday, August 7 6:00-7:00pm hosted by MITM board member and Mayor Keith Franke
- Monday, August 19 noon-1:00pm hosted by MITM board member and City Councilmember Steve Morris
- Thursday, August 29 noon-1:00pm hosted by MITM board member and former City Councilmember Bradley Schaeppi
- If you'd like to chat individually, reach out to Shannon to schedule
(Warning/Benefit: some of our Zoom convenings with local government people have turned into a kind of support group! We're ok with momentary tangents about common challenges of zoning for certain chain restaurants.)
Thank you in advance for helping inform our work to Keep Nonpartisan Offices Nonpartisan!
