Steve Morris has spent a career in retail management & marketing starting as a cashier culminating with 25 years with Speedway chain of convenience stores.
Steve served as Director of Merchandising and as Director of Marketing where he continued the work of brand management & retail sales development while expanding his leadership roles. As Director of Operations Strategy and Planning and later as Region Manager Steve continued his roles of oversight and responsibilities for the Twin Cities and Minnesota market for direct operations, budgeting, planning and business development.
Currently Steve is Vice-President, Operations for StrasGlobal a retail management & marketing service provider for retailers nationwide.
Steve was elected in 2018 as Councilmember for the City of Woodbury having served previously on the Planning Commission, and currently serves on the Economic Development Authority & Housing & Redevelopment Authority for the city. He also serves on multiple non-profit advisory positions as well as Umpire for the Twin Cities Goodtime Softball league and Adult Partner for the Minnesota Youth Council.
Steve and his husband Justin live in Woodbury with their two dogs and enjoy softball, concertgoing and walking the miles of trails in their community.
